Group Programs

Unicoi State Park & Lodge is a unique educational resource located on 1,051 acres in North Georgia, 2 miles north of Alpine Helen, GA. Our programs are suited for school field trips, conference functions, Scout Troops, church, civic and family reunions and adult groups. The programs available includes the site’s natural and recreational resources. Choose a combination of our available activities to best meet the group’s needs.

Homeschool Program

On the first Friday of every month, Unicoi State Park hosts a Homeschool Day from 10am to 12pm at our Visitors’ Center. Topics range from Ecosystems and Food Webs to Hibernation and Migration Patterns. Cost for attending is $10 per child (ages 0 – 4 can attend for free) unless otherwise specified. Guests can pre-register for Homeschool Days of their choice by contacting Danielle MacDougall at 706-878-4727 or by email at activities@unicoilodge.com.

Field Trips

Our field trip programs are designed to elementary age students from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Most of the lessons will include a guided hike as well as time in our playground area. For a full or half-day experience we recommend also booking a Picnic Pavilion for lunch. However, we also have an onsite restaurant located in the Unicoi Lodge if preferred.
