If you’re looking for Helen, GA hotels – look no further! Unicoi State Park & Lodge features 96 comfortable, modern guest rooms in a variety of arrangements. Choose from our spacious king rooms, double queen rooms, Parlor Rooms, or rooms with two full-size beds. Accessibility & Accommodations: Nestled in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, our Lodge offers a unique experience surrounded by nature. Elevator access is available in the main Lodge building only and is not available in the guest room accommodation buildings. Ramp access is available to the accommodations; however, all guest rooms require some walking, with distances varying by location. Our team is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible experience for all guests, including ADA-accessible rooms with roll-in showers. Guests with mobility concerns are encouraged to contact us before booking so we can assist in selecting the most suitable accommodations.
Each of our 29 Georgia State Park cabins offers access to beautiful hiking trails, trophy trout streams, and Unicoi Lake. Choose from our 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom accommodations, including ADA-accessible and pet-friendly options. Nestled in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, our cabins offer a peaceful escape into nature. Please note that walking is part of the mountain experience, with natural terrain and stairs at select accommodations. Wi-Fi is not available in any of our cabins.
Enjoy nature’s solitude at our tucked-away 2-bedroom, 2-bath Smith Creek Cabins, the park’s most rustic cabin option. Each features a full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, and central heating and air. Perfect for unplugging and reconnecting with nature, these cabins do not offer Wi-Fi, televisions, or cable TV. Our Barrel Cabins are among the most beloved Helen, GA cabin rentals. Perched on hillsides and nestled in the forest, these unique cabins offer rustic charm and comfort. Options range from 1-bedroom, 1-bath to 2-bedroom, 1-bath accommodations. Guests should anticipate walking and stairs leading to the cabins, as well as stairs inside. Check Availability.

Pet-Friendly Cabins Available – We welcome your canine companions in designated pet-friendly cabins! A $50 fee per dog, per stay applies, with a maximum of two dogs. Dogs must remain leashed. Please call ahead for availability and additional details. Service animals are welcome.
ADA Accommodations – We are committed to making every guest’s stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our designated 3-Bedroom Deluxe ADA Cottage and one 2 Bedroom Smith Creek Cabin offers accessible accommodations. Due to our mountain terrain and varying walking distances, we encourage guests with mobility needs to contact our team before booking to ensure the best fit for their stay.
Unicoi State Park & Lodge is a camper’s paradise. We have nearly 100 campsites and a variety of arrangements including ADA sites and Buddy Hook-up sites, the distinct outdoor hammock experience of the Squirrels Nest, 30-foot and 40-foot RV sites, primitive campsites and sites designed for family tent camping.
All our powered sites are suitable for tent, trailer, and RV campers.
We are a pet-friendly State Park as long as your pets are friendly and always kept on a short, sturdy leash. Please be courteous to other patrons and be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our park and trails by cleaning up after your animals.
AFTER HOURS ARRIVAL INFORMATION:
Those arriving after the Visitor Center has closed, will be pre-checked in, and the payment method on file will be charged in the amount of the first night. Then come to the Visitor Center during business hours the following morning to complete check in.
If arriving after 5:00PM please use the Night Registration Kiosk located outside of the Activities and Programming building on the main road. Select the designated site tag from the box and procced to the site using the map provided in the check in packet. Then come to the Visitor Center in the Campground to complete the registration the following morning.
TENT CAMPING ONLY: Check in is before 9PM
Combining luxury and the great outdoors, our extra spacious, completely furnished Safari Tents give large families or groups of friends the extra space they need to glamp in comfort. Unicoi State Park offers 4 glamping sites.
